Subtle Liquid Liner

Zou bisou bisou! The thin sweep of liner Jessica Paré wore to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington DC was a far cry from the mod, winged-out eye she’d work onscreen as Mad Men’s Megan Draper, but made just as big of an impact with the clean, precise application. “I wanted to keep Jessica’s look glamorous, neat, and conservative,” said her makeup artist Jamie Greenberg, who used Mark products on the star. “We decided to go for a clean, girly look: All pinks, and a tight line on the lid and lashes.” To start, Greenberg applied a base of eye shadow primer onto Paré’s lids, then layered a pale pink powder shadow on top. “I framed the eyes using a black liquid liner, and finished the look by applying mascara on Jessica’s top and bottom lashes,” Greenberg added. If you have trouble holding a steady hand, we recommend working with a felt applicator, or a liquid liner housed in a pen-shaped stylo. Both products are equipped with a fine-tipped applicator point, which helps to create a more precise shape. Once you’re finished, use a pointed cotton swab to clean up any uneven areas.
