The “no makeup” look can sometimes be tricky to achieve, so take a tip from Ashley Greene and stick to sheer neutrals when going for a fresh-faced look. “Ashley wore a nude sheath dress, and it inspired me to create a simple and polished look for her face,” said her makeup artist Vanessa Scali. One of the biggest challenges with natural makeup is looking washed out, so use a generous amount of peachy-pink blush to add a pop of color that isn’t overwhelming. “This flush of color gives the face just enough warmth to break up the monochromatic look without being overdone,” Scali said. Stick to warm-colored eye shadows to keep the look in tune, then tie everything together with a strong brow and lush lashes. Scali added definition at Greene’s lash line, then used individual false lashes and mascara for an amped-up neutral eye. “It’s a fresh, pretty look that doesn’t wash out,” she adds.
