Renée Zellweger's gold Carolina Herrera number wasn’t the only thing shining at the Oscars! To complement her statement gown and breezy updo, the star’s makeup artist Kristofer Buckle tied the look together with sheer colors and simple, glowing skin. “I didn’t want it to be fussy, I just wanted gorgeous skin that looked nude,” said Buckle, who used Laura Mercier products on the star. “Renée is really an anti-makeup girl, so we chose wearable and easy colors.” With spring’s warmer temperatures fast approaching, the easiest way to replicate Zellweger’s airy finish is to invest in a tinted moisturizer. The lightweight formula camouflages any uneven tones, but doesn’t completely hide your natural skin underneath. Under-eye circles are the sworn enemy of a flawless finish, so Buckle used a rich concealer to balance any redness in Zellweger’s complexion. “I used a big brush to leave just a ghost of color around her eyes,” he added.
