Fresh Complexion

Have you ever noticed how, on a good skin day, your makeup seems to come together on its own? This was the case for Elizabeth Reaser, whose understated eye and lip allowed her complexion to shine through at the Los Angeles premiere of Breaking Dawn – Part 2. “For Elizabeth’s look, I really wanted to creat beautiful, glowy skin with a little emphasis on the eyes,” said her makeup artist Melanie Inglessis. Before applying foundation, Inglessis used a gentle exfoliating gel on the star to create a smooth canvas. “It really preps the skin perfectly,” she said. Add a good facial scrub to your skincare routine to whisk away dead skin cells, which can dull your complexion. Just be sure not to exfoliate more than twice a week. Too much scrubbing strips your skin of its much-needed natural oils, and can result in irritation and breakouts. Moderation is key!
