Soft and Shiny Waves
For the 2011 MET Ball in New York City, Blake Lively's hairstylist Rod Ortega wanted to make her brand-new, dimensional auburn hair really sing. "We were going for soft, healthy, and smooth," he told us. "Very shiny hair, very simple glam." He dosed damp hair with a few drops of smoothing serum and blew it out with a flat brush to shape the hair. "I flat-ironed the ends before curling them with a 1/2-inch curling iron," he said. Brushing through the hair before Lively stepped onto the red carpet was the hairstylist's finishing touch.
