One of the joys of visiting the salon is leaving with a perfect blowout like Kirsten Dunst’s, and while your hairstylist makes creating bouncy layers look easy, we admit juggling the hair dryer and round brush at home can be a task. Luckily, you don’t have to follow suit from start to finish. Streamline your routine by first rough-drying strands until most of the moisture is gone. Then, split your hair into sections and use your round brush to work with individual pieces. Make sure to brush your strands outward to pump up the volume, and run the dryer nozzle over the full length of your hair before moving on to the next area. And if you really want to add movement, wrap your hair around a set of velcro rollers, then apply direct heat with your dryer over each section. The largest sizes should be saved for your crown area to seamlessly mirror the flowing curves you get at the salon.
