GET THE LOOK: When you're wearing a show-stopping Versace number like Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globes, it's a good idea to keep your face clean and minimal. Makeup artist Mary Burton did just that by creating a sheer, natural look that focused on the the star's eyes.
INSIDER TRICK: To frame Jolie's eyes without creating smoky drama, Burton first applied Lancome Artliner in Noir along lashlines, starting at the inner corner and blending out (leaving the lower line below her pupil clean). She then layered two black mascaras (Lancome's Courbe Virtuose and Lancome Oscillation) to increase both volume and length. Cheeks and lips were kept simple and sheer.
