GET THE LOOK: Zoe Saldana may not be a tease, but her hair is. "The best way to add height to your hair and make it last is to backcomb the roots," says celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson, who works with leading ladies like Anne Hathaway and Angelina Jolie.
INSIDER TRICK: To avoid that overly teased, cotton-candy look, lift a section of hair and backcomb just the roots (about one inch from the scalp) using a Mason Pearson boar-bristle brush. Be sure to tease roots on the side that will fall against your scalp. Next, lightly brush over the surface to smooth the top.
