While Anne Hathaway’s pixie cut is extreme, her new length brings out her facial features and is a low-maintenance option if you’re looking for a short wash-and-go style. “Nothing enhances a beautiful bone structure more than a cute, short haircut, and Anne’s modern pixie is the perfect example,” her hairstylist Sascha Breuer said. “It’s about short sides and an ever-so-slightly longer top and fringe.” To create Hathaway’s dry texture, he applied a small amount of pomade to slightly damp hair, then dried it with his fingers to keep the style natural-looking. If you have fine strands, use a hairspray in place of the pomade to keep your style from getting weighed down. Simply spritz the product onto your fingers, then use them to pick out and define sections. “Don’t force this type of hair—enjoy it. The secret is not to over style, just simply play with your hair to achieve texture,” he added.
