Creating the right amount of balance between a dramatic eye and a vivid blush can be tricky, but Emily VanCamp got the look just right by sticking to a sheer crème formula. “Because Emily was wearing a very feminine lace dress, I knew I wanted to balance it with an edgier makeup look,” her makeup artist Amy Nadine said. Nadine prepped the star’s skin with an ultra-hydrating moisturizer, then blended on a light foundation. She used a matte bronzer to contour, then swept a peach crème blush from the apples of her cheeks to the highest points of her cheekbones. Because of the soft formula, crème blushes impart a fresh, dewy finish, making it easier to create a natural-looking glow.
