While the fall runways boast deep cranberry lipstick, Taylor Swift
took the trend to her eye makeup at the Billboard Music Awards. Slightly darker than her red dress, her makeup, all by CoverGirl, plays off of the bold hue without being too matchy-matchy. “Taylor was being honored Billboard’s Woman of the Year Award. With this in mind, she wanted her look to be timeless, yet still a little edgy and strong,” her makeup artist Lorrie Turk said. Turk applied a warm cranberry shadow onto the star’s lids, then winged out the shape at the corners. She then blended the shade along Swift’s lower lash line, then grounded the color with a swipe of black liner, smudging it slightly to soften the look. Turk finished with few coats of mascara on the singer’s upper and lower lashes. Gorgeous!
