We’re obsessed with Christina Aguilera’s hair on The Voice this week. Her hairstylist Mark Townsend was inspired by what she wore. He says, “I loved the color and silhouette of the Roland Mouret dress so much, it was such a great fashion moment with a touch of sexiness so I wanted her hair to have the same feeling.” He started by prepping her strands with a Keratin spray to soften and condition before blowdrying with a large round brush. “To give it body and movement, I took 4-inch sections, spraying light hold spray on each and then used a large 2-inch curling iron to give her hair a very soft wave,” says Townsend. For the final touch, he rubbed a small amount of pomade in his hands to “warm up the product” and then raked his fingers through for separation and piecey-ness.
