Clean Skin
Evan Rachel Wood’s makeup artist Jake Bailey offset her cool, rock 'n' roll outfit with an unexpected hot pink lip for a screening of Curb Your Enthusiasm in New York City. But first he prepped Wood’s skin—which looked glowy but still matte—with a lightweight lotion. "You don’t want to use a product that's too heavy in heat or humidity or your makeup won't stick," he says. He then used a process of trial and error to find a perfect match for Wood’s foundation. "Darker skin is more forgiving, but with fair skin even a shade that’s slightly off can be very obvious." He set the look with pressed powder and dusted on a coral blush to brighten her complexion.
