"Katie Holmes has gorgeous skin with natural golden undertones," makeup artist Matthew VanLeeuwen, who works with the star, told us. Translation? It's not hard to make her look absolutely perfect, like she did at the Crystal + Lucy Awards this week in Beverly Hills. That being said, VanLeeuwen does employ a few tricks to get her coverage just right. "I apply a dime-sized drop of liquid foundation in a dotting motion rather than a wiping motion," he explains. "It imparts an even texture and allows you to really concentrate coverage where you need it most." He finishes with a dusting of translucent powder along the T-zone and forehead. "It leaves behind the perfect creamy glow," he says.
