Punchy Lipstick
For the Young Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles, makeup artist Stephen Sollitto created a sophisticated, unstuffy look for Oscar nominee and new Miu Miu face Hailee Steinfeld. "Hailee was wearing a Miu Miu look straight from the runway, and because the combo was fitted and vintage-esque, we went with a modern version of old Hollywood glamour," he said. Clear skin and elongated lashes were key, especially when paired with the star's punchy, wine-toned lip. "I wanted to amp up her lips a bit so they stood out," he explained. "But since she is 14, I didn't want to feel like it was trying too hard." His solution? A moisturizing lip gloss in a shimmery, sheer berry pink. "As she left, she carried her understated confidence looking radiant and statuesque," Sollitto adds. We couldn't agree more.
