Usually bold lips and colored shadow are a beauty no no, but not when they're paired as subtly as Kerry Washington did at Variety's 2nd Annual Power of Women lunch in Los Angeles. With a raspberry stain on her lips, purple shadow could have looked cheap—but since Washington chose a sheer, deep plum, and kept the hue neatly below the crease, the look doesn't go over the top. In fact, it's just plum gorgeous.
