At BET's Black Girls Rock 2012 party, Gabrielle Unionstepped out in a fitted LBD and a shimmering statement eye. Celebrity makeup artist Gianpaolo gave us the breakdown on his look. “I was going for a very ‘60s feel,” Gianpaolo told InStyle.com. “I definitely wanted to keep the focus on her eyes.” To get Union’s bold peepers, he began by lining eyes with a creamy black pencil. He then layered a black metallic powder hue on her lash line, blending it outward to create an almond shape. On the inner corners, he used a golden hue to brighten up her eyes and to add more shimmer. After curling lashes and applying a generous coat of mascara, he finished the look by adding false lashes for an extra dramatic eye.
