We're loving Kate Hudson as a '60s fashion reporter in Nine—but at an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman the star proved she could channel another decade just as well. "The look was a sexy eye with a little '80s glam," said makeup artist Julie Harris, who created the look. She blended charcoal shadow along the crease, a wash of silver blue on the lid and inner corner, and lined lashlines with waterproof blue liner. (Choose waterproof liners when you're rocking a heavy eye—it will stay put even if your eye tears a bit during application.) Harris gave the bottom lashes some love by layering black and charcoal shadow, and finished with two coats of black mascara.
