Sleek Straight Hair

For long-lasting sleek locks like Hayden Panettiere's, prep hair with a thermal-protectant spray, separate hair into 1/4 to 1/2-inch sections, then "use a comb in front of your iron to make sure the hair is smooth and straight before it enters the plates of your iron," says N.Y.C.-based hairstylist Michael Duenas. Next, add a shine gloss made with silicone and finish up with a light-holding hairspray. "Gorgeous stick-straight hair that humidity can't touch!" says Duenas.
