High-Shine Shadow

Heidi Klum always makes rocking a shimmery eye shadow look so easy, and the pale pewter hue she wore at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles was no exception. “For this event, Heidi was wearing a very sparkly dress, and she was the one to actually suggest adding a little sparkle to her eyes to keep it fun for the children,” said her makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani. The key to an ultra-shimmery eye with minimum shadow fallout is to work in layers. Bedrani started by applying an eye shadow primer to Klum’s lid, then added a light, shiny color over the top. To keep the glitter from sticking to the rest of your face, be sure to pat the color on instead of sweeping it across your lids. “I then used a brown pencil to line her eyes, concentrating on the outer corners, then smudged it all around,” she said. “After curling her lashes, adding mascara, and individual falsies, I used a sparkly white cream shadow on the inner corners of her eyes and blended it outward.” Perfect!
