Clump-Free Lashes
"Sofia Vergara wore the most beautiful dress for the Smurfs premiere. I kept the makeup subtle so the dress could take full focus," says her makeup artist Kayleen McAdams. What stood out for us were her incredibly lush, clump-free lashes. McAdams says the trick is in the layering. "To make them look full, I glided a very thin line of black eyeliner across the lashline to give the illusion of thickness," she explains. After swiping on one coat of mascara—McAdams prefers a narrow wand, which gets right to the root—she placed individual false lashes. The final touch was a top coat of mascara on the ends to seamlessly blend the faux lashes with the real ones.
