Braided Headbands

GET THE LOOK: "This look transitions from day to evening vey easily," says hairstylist Christine Symonds of L.A.'s Warren-Tricomi Salon of Fergie's look. "For day, you can use a suede braided headband and for night you can dress it up with a fun rhinestone headpiece or something more glam."
INSIDER TRICK: Make it poof-proof. Make sure the headband is placed below where your skull sticks out in the back of your head (also known as the occcipital bone)—otherwise you risk it slipping up and poofing out your hair. To make sure the band stays put, secure the band with bobby pins, says Symonds, who created this look on Lauren Conrad for her recent fashion show.
