While most of the stars on the red carpet at the 2010 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles favored nude lipstick and barely-there makeup, Jewel opted for a bold swipe of bright red lipstick. "The colors in her eye shadow picked up the golden nude tones of her dress," said Dior makeup artist Troy Jensen, who created the look. "But on her mouth, I wanted to make a statement with fall's it shade: crimson red lips." Point taken: To keep things classy, choose dramatic eyes or lips—not both.
