At the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, Rose Byrne sported a soft curly updo and neatly sculpted eye shadow. "I started with a layer of eye shadow base, then worked directly over it with a gentle mauve pewter shade," said Chanel makeup artist Kate Lee, who created the look. "I added black liner under the lashline for depth, then went back over with liquid shadow for extra emphasis." The result? Makeup that managed to look arresting and subtle all at once.
